Howdy!

The Kamele Ngoni is a harp of West African origin that is tuned to a pentatonic scale making playing a breeze. The Ngoni has a simple string to pitch ordering that allows anyone to create beautiful melodies, music, and songs.

Using our Ngoni app one can better learn about the instrument and includes a tuning and play mode allowing one to explore many scales from around the world. Ngoni Expert  is free and available on the Apple app store or Google play store.

HYBRID

With this Ngoni you'll have two instruments in one! Every instrument comes with a mahogany back cover which fits in the back part of the resonator to give a closed Ngoni sound. This can be easily removed by hand resulting in an different color of sound!

BODY

The body of the ngoni is made from a wooden body and goat skin. Unlike traditional Ngoni this design has no dowels/support through the skin. The resulting sound provides superior resonance and volume!

HANDLES

The Kora style handles can be added to your instrument as an add-on. The joint is made with Mahogany or Maple and the Ngoni handles are made from various species of wood. Send a message for custom options.
